1970s Exuberance at Studio 54
Studio 54 had such a small window in time but it has left a huge legacy of wonderment.

Studio 54

Only the select few were granted admission and well, I think it goes without saying...what happened in Studio 54 stayed in Studio 54. Unless you happened to be papped inside.
I'm always drawn back to google images to take a peek at what everyone was wearing back then. Grace Jones in that batwing leotard, Bianca Jagger in any number of flowy Halston outfits, berets or YSL suits, Cher (CHER!!!!!), Liza Minelli, Farrah Fawcett, Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna, the Queen Debbie Harry (I mean, who's going to argue) and the ultimate Queen DIVINE - I could go on.
The late 70s were the height of disco glitter, lycra spandex and Staying Alive. I was just a kid then - I remember queuing up to watch Grease at the cinema (I was 10) and wishing that I was Olivia Newton John. I mean, just look at her.
Tod Papageorge took some iconic photos at Studio 54 - oh to have been there if only for five minutes...
If you're looking for Studio 54 inspo, head over to my store and take a peek at those 70s (and early 80s) numbers.
